Completing a survey does not take a huge ammount of time - most people will answer all questions in less than 30 minutes. It is best to have survey respondents stay behind after a service, or come together for a special supper or pot luck meal. We strongly recommend that survey forms are not taken home to complete. You will quickly realise the wisdom of meeting at one venue and answering the questions at one sitting, if you allow questionnaires out of your sight. One church took six months to collect all 30 survey forms because they did not have a central time and place to do the job!

How many members should complete the survey? The optimum number is 30. The workbook has all the directions for administering the survey including the criteria used to select survey respondents. In short, survey questions should be answered by the most influentual members in your church, the 'movers and shakers' in the church. The spiritual health of your church depends on the personal spiritual health of the most influential members that make up the community of faith that is your church.
